Christopher R. DiFusco is Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) for the Philadelphia Board of Pensions & Retirement ("Board"). Christopher is responsible for oversight of the Board’s $6 billion defined benefit fund and the $1.5 billion deferred compensation plan. The Pension Fund is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed and elected pursuant to the City Charter. Christopher serves at the pleasure of the Board.
Christopher is also CIO for the $575 million Sinking Fund Commission (PGW Retirement Reserve), a position he has held since November of 2013.
Prior to joining the Investment Staff, Christopher served as counsel to the Board for many years as an employee of the Philadelphia City Solicitor's Office. He is a member of the bar in Pennsylvania & New Jersey. He also serves as Treasurer & appointed officer of the Board of Directors at Jenkins Law Library and volunteers for the American Red Cross.
Christopher holds a MS from Drexel University, a JD from the University of Richmond School of Law, and a BA from the University of Delaware. He is a 2023 MBA candidate at the University of Illinois Gies School of Business.
